Funerals

When we lose a loved one, whether suddenly or expected, we can be burdened with many emotions, including an overwhelming sense of sadness and of loss. Yet even in grief, we still face the daunting task of having to arrange a funeral service.

In my role as a Celebrant, my aim is to lift some of that burden, and to ease some of those emotions by working with you, your family & friends, to create a ceremony that not only enables you to say goodbye in your way, but also one that celebrates your loved one's life.

Once requested, I will contact you to arrange a suitable time and location, where we can meet to discuss you & your loved one's wishes. By learning about their life story, their personality, their character, and what made them the person that they were, I will then plan and craft a personalized and meaningful ceremony that truly honours their memory.

The ceremony can be uplifting and light-hearted, or even low-key and reserved. It can include readings, music, poems, or even hymns or prayers, read out by a yourself, a family member or friend, or it can be delivered by myself on your behalf. Ultimately, the ceremony will be about respecting the wishes of you and your loved one.

From the initial call, through to the conclusion of the ceremony, I will liaise with you, and your Funeral Director to ensure that your wishes are fully respected. You will be kept fully informed of, and asked to approve, all aspects of the ceremony planning, and I will aim to deliver it in the fitting and dignified manner that your loved one deserves.
